  • Hello! My name is Fool! I am 27, and I will not write with people under the age of 20. Sorry! Nothing personal. If you follow me, I will check for your age on your blog before following back. I also like to know the person I’m writing with, so I’ll most likely dm you to talk about plots. I’m nice, I promise!

POTENTIAL ADULT CONTENT

  • As I am an adult, there is a possibility of NSFW content on my blog - it’s just part of life. Not a lot bothers me, but I will mark potentially triggering content as “tw” or “trigger warning” out of respect for my followers.

FOLLOWING BACK

  • I am mutuals only, so I won’t interact with you if you aren’t following me (mostly out of fear of bugging you). I’m super open to trying almost anything though, so shoot me a message or an ask or whatever if you’re interested in writing together! I haven’t had the occasion yet to turn someone down, however, I pretty much remain in the Star Trek universe - crossovers don’t do wonders for my motivation.

  • I am OC friendly, for sure! I am up for crossovers, absolutely. This character is super flexible, and I really would like to throw him into all different universes, even ones I don't have listed. I don’t mind if personals follow me or interact over ask, but most times I will only follow RP blogs back.

  • I don’t do drama. I promise I’m a super nice person, but I hate confrontation, I hate drama, and I will remove myself immediately if I’m uncomfortable. Thanks!

  • I try to reply to threads within a few days. I’m still getting used to using Tumblr for roleplaying though, and my notifications haven’t worked since installing xkit, so forgive me if I miss it. I’m pretty vigilant about checking, but please tag me in responses! I write in third person, past tense.

Brackish Okun has always been a passionate man. One too many bad trips in school and a whole lot of too-loud rock music resulted in someone who is rarely phased by anything anymore. He's almost always up for an adventure, and never sits still when there's something exciting, sometimes fixating for days on end. He isn't bothered by much, and he's exceptionally comfortable sharing his opinion with anyone who will listen.

Area 51 - Main verse

Brackish Okun was born in 1951 to Saylene and Lorna Okun in San Fransisco, California. He always had an interest in space, spending the nights sneaking out to the roof of his childhood home and listening to psychedelic rock while smoking pot and watching the stars. He graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in astrophysics and was immediately hired to work at Area 51, where he remained for the rest of his life...until July 4th 1996, when his life's work was put to the test upon an Alien invasion. A telepathic connection and physical altercation resulted in a twenty-year coma that only ended when they returned.

Jupiter Station - Star Trek

Dr. Brackish Okun always knew he wanted to work for Starfleet. Nothing more exciting than traveling the stars discovering new like and new civilizations! Boldly going...to the research station just outside of Jupiter. Unfortunately, none of the programs he applied to were looking for someone as eccentric as Dr. Okun, he couldn't pass the Starfleet Academy entrance exam, and he ended up in a research facility inside his own solar system studying astrophysics and xeno-biology on his own.

S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters - Marvel

A Ph.D. in astrophysics put him in a good place to be picked up by the government when S.W.O.R.D. was founded in 1995. Brackish was more than excited to get to work not only with aliens - that he'd spend his life obsessing over - but also with superheroes. Imagine that.

Hogsmeade - Wizarding World

So working in a potions shop wasn't his idea of a career, and he doesn't get out much, but he enjoys the people and he does what he can to keep business going. He might have a reputation for being a little adventurous with his work, and his customers might be just a little bit suspect, but there aren't any rules that say he can't sell oddities on the side. That doesn't make him a bad person...right?
